Ukrgasbank limits daily cash withdrawals abroad to 3,500 hryvni

MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - The state-controlled Ukrgasbank (Kyiv) has limited cash withdrawals from hryvnia bankcards abroad to 3,500 hryvni per day, the Ukrainian media said, citing the bank's press service.

This decision stems from the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) steps to limit cash withdrawals from hryvnia bankcards abroad to 50,000 hryvni per month, according to the report.

All non-cash transactions to pay for goods and services will continue without restrictions, it said.

Ukrgasbank, established in 1993, is 94.94% owned by the Ukrainian state via the Finance Ministry.

According to NBU data, as of March 1, 2022, Ukrgasbank was Ukraine's sixth largest bank by total assets among the 69 banks that operate in the country.
