Russian Foreign Ministry declares Montenegrin diplomat persona non grata
MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Russia is expelling an employee of the Montenegrin embassy in Moscow as a retaliatory measure, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Montenegrin Ambassador to Russia Milorad Scepanovic was invited to the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 31 and presented with a ministry note that declared an employee of the Montenegrin embassy in Moscow persona non grata," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
"This is a response to the unfounded decision made by the Montenegrin side on April 7 of this year to declare a number of diplomats from the Russian embassy in Podgorica personae non gratae," the ministry said.
