Roskomnadzor denies slowing down YouTube

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has not imposed any restrictive measures on the YouTube video hosting service in Russia, the regulator told Interfax.

"Roskomnadzor has not undertaken any restrictive measures against YouTube. There are no restrictions on traffic of this service in Russia," the regulator said.

Media outlets said earlier, citing a source from the Roskomnadzor branch in Yakutia, that the service was beginning to slow down YouTube traffic in Russia.
