Manturov chairs Avtovaz board

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov has become chairman of the board of directors at car maker Avtovaz , his ministry's press office said.

Manturov will serve without remuneration.

Maxim Sokolov, who served as Russia's transport minister in 2012-2018, was named CEO of Avtovaz in May, replacing the head of Renault in Russia and the CIS Nicolas Maure. Earlier in the month, French automaker Renault, which has suspended operations in Russia, has completed the transfer of its 68% stake in Avtovaz to state automotive institute NAMI
