ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih resumes rolled wire production

MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - The ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih steelworks in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine is continuing to restart production after a brief conversation period and has resumed the manufacturing of rolled wire.

The company said that Workshop No. 3 resumed operation on May 19 and produced 160 tonnes of 11mm rolled wire.

The workshop has plenty of orders, Workshop No. 3 deputy head Pavlo Veselkov said.

"We have orders for 8mm, 8.5mm and 5.5mm rolled wire and rebar No. 8. Our customers are Ukrainian enterprises producing ropes, metalware and welding equipment. Thus, we provide both money for the enterprise and the country and raw materials. This means Ukrainian enterprises will be able to work," the company press service quoted Veselkov as saying.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is the largest manufacturer of rolled steel in Ukraine, specializing in the production of long-sized rolled steel, including rebar and rolled wire.

ArcelorMittal owns the largest Ukrainian steelworks ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and a number of smaller companies, including PJCS ArcelorMittal Beryslav.
