Outbound traffic from Ukraine via western border almost unchanged - State Border Service

KYIV. May 26 (Interfax) - Around 35,000 people left Ukraine via its western border on May 25 as compared to more than 32,000 the day before, while the number of those who arrived in Ukraine stood at 40,000 on May 25 as compared to 37,000 the previous day, the State Border Service of Ukraine said on social media.

The number of vehicles with humanitarian cargoes cleared for entry to Ukraine declined to 180 on May 25 from 198 the day before, the State Border Service said.

Data released by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees as of 1:00 p.m. on May 24 show that 6.643 million people have left Ukraine since February 24. Of them, Poland has taken 3.545 million, Romania and Moldova 1.023 million, Russia 945,010, Hungary 654,660, Slovakia 446,760, and Belarus 27,310 (figures as of May 12).

A total of 2.121 million people have crossed into Ukraine since February 28, the State Border Service said.
