Zelensky tasks PM with considering visa system in relations with Russia

KYIV. May 26 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has tasked Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal with considering the establishment of a visa system in the relations with Russia.

Zelensky thus responded to a petition for the establishment of a visa system for Russia, which had been signed by over 25,000 Ukrainian citizens.

"The highlighted matter is important and relevant, so I support stricter control over the arrival of Russian citizens in Ukraine. In consideration of the foregoing, a letter has been set to Shmyhal with a request to consider this issue," Zelensky said in a statement on his website on Wednesday.

He thanked everyone who supported the petition for the active civic stance.
