Gerhard Schroeder declines invitation to join Gazprom board
BERLIN. May 25 (Interfax) - Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has declined an invitation to join the board of directors of Russian gas giant Gazprom .
Schroeder wrote on Linkedin that he had long ago declined a nomination to Gazprom's board and had informed the company about this, so he was surprised by today's announcement of his nomination.
Schroeder's refusal was also previously reported by Focus.
