Yermak, Rasmussen to head int'l advisory group for Ukraine security guarantees

KYIV. May 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak and former NATO Secretary General Fogh Rasmussen will head an international advisory group to propose security guarantees for Ukraine.

"I am happy to say that, together with former NATO Secretary General Fogh Rasmussen, we will set up an international advisory working group. Its goal is to develop recommendations on the reliable and effective security guarantees for Ukraine. The leading security specialists, politicians, diplomats and academicians will be invited to join the group's work," Yermak said at the Security Europe panel discussion of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The presidential press service quoted Yermak as saying that the friends and partners of Ukraine would take part in the activity of the advisory group and would be able to offer their knowledge and experience for the benefit of the successful implementation of the initiative.
