Ukrainian govt approves draft memorandum on new functions of European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine

KYIV. May 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved a draft memorandum on mutual understanding between the European Commission and the governments of Moldova and Ukraine on new functions of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine.

Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk said on Telegram that the decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The memorandum will ensure coordinated efforts of Ukraine, Moldova and the EU mission towards optimizing the border crossing by citizens of Ukraine and third countries who have to temporarily move to EU members and other states in Europe.
