Ukraine, KfW sign deal for 150-mln-euro loan for budget support

KYIV. May 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and KfW Director for East Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia Olaf Zymelka have signed an agreement on a 15-year 150-million-euro loan for budget support, the Finance Ministry said.

"The money raised will allow for ensuring the stable financing of priority areas and will be used for social, education, and healthcare expenditures," the ministry quoted Marchenko as saying on Tuesday.

The loan is intended to co-finance the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) supplemental loan for the development policy amid the emergency economic situation, with a five-year grace period.
