Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov appointed VK board chairman

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - PJSC Gazprom spokesperson Sergei Kupriyanov has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of VK , where he has been a member of the IT company's board since December 2021, VK said in a press release.

Additionally, Maria Zybina, Gazprombank executive vice president, has been appointed a member of the VK board of directors, according to the press release.

Zybina manages digital assets at Gazprombank.

Kupriyanov became chairman of the board after VK cofounder Dmitry Grishin left the board on May 11.

With Zybina, the board now has ten members. The board also includes Gazprom Media Holding legal department chief Dmitry Chudakov, Sogaz CEO Anton Ustinov, MF Technologies CEO Ulyana Antonova, Higher School of Economics Rector Nikita Anisimov, acting Bauman Moscow State Technical University Rector Mikhail Gordin, Petropavlovsk board member Natalia Yakovleva, and VK top managers Vladimir Gabrielyan and Alexander Ayvazov.

VK is owned by MF Technologies with a 4.8% economic interest a 57.3% voting interest, Naspers - Prosus with 25.7% economic and 12.3% voting, Alibaba Group with 9.5% and 4.5%, and Tencent with 7% and 3.3%.

Sogaz and Gazprom Media Holdings each own 45% of MF Technologies, and Rostec has a 10% stake.
