Andrei Lazeyev named CEO of Bashneft

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Andrei Lazeyev has been appointed to replace Khasan Tatriyev as CEO of Bashneft , the Russian oil company told Interfax.

Lazeyev has 28 years of experience in the industry, the last nine of which he worked at Rosneft , where served as vice president and chief geologist from 2013 to 2019 and from 2016 to 2019 concurrently as vice president for geology and development at Bashneft. Lazeyev was appointed head of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazdobycha in 2020 and joined Rosneft's management board in February 2022.

Tatriyev also serves on the management board of Rosneft, which controls Bashneft.

Bashneft produced 13.8 million tonnes of crude oil in 2021, up from 12.93 million tonnes in 2020 but down from 18.67 million tonnes in 2019. The company increased its oil reserves by 43.5 million tonnes, or three times production, last year.

Bashneft operates in Bashkortostan, the Khanty Mansi Autonomous District, Nenets Autonomous District, Orenburg Region and Tatarstan, and is also conducting exploration in Iraq and Myanmar.

Bashneft's refining division includes three production facilities - Bashneft-UNPZ, Bashneft-Novoil and Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim - with combined capacity of 23.5 million tonnes per year. The company's petrochemicals division includes Ufaorgsintez and gas processing plants Tuimazinskoye GPP and Shkapovskoye GPP. The company's retail chain includes more than 540 filling stations in 15 regions of Russia.
