Tetra Pak continues to work in Russia
MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Tetra Pak continues to work in Russia.
"At present, Tetra Pak continues to operate on the Russian market. Production of packaging material at the factory in the Moscow region and shipments to food industry enterprises continue," the company's press office in Russia told Interfax.
Reports that Tetra Pak is leaving Russia are inaccurate, it said.
Tetra Pak said earlier that it had suspended all new investments and projects in Russia and reduced production, restricting operations to essential food products such as milk and children's food and maintaining these activities for as long as possible.
According to SPARK-Interfax, Russia-based JSC Tetra Pak boosted sales revenue to Russian Accounting Standards 18.2% to 49.36 billion rubles and operating profit 30.7% to 7.66 billion rubles in 2021. Net profit inched down to 4.13 billion rubles, from 4.4 billion rubles in 2020.
