Nomination for post of Russian emergencies minister submitted to Federation Council - Senator Klishas

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - The nomination for the post of emergency situations minister proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin has been submitted to the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, Chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Andrei Klishas said.

"The nomination of a new emergency situations minister proposed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin has been submitted to the Federation Council. The committee in charge of the issue is the Committee on Defense and Security. It will be reviewed within the timeframe and in accordance with the procedure set in the chamber's rules of procedure," Klishas said on Telegram, without disclosing the candidate's name.
