Over $36.7 mln transferred to Ukraine's National Bank accounts over 2 weeks of UNITED24 platform operation - minister
KYIV. May 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Over $36.7 million have been transferred to accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine over the first two weeks of operation of the UNITED24 platform, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said.
"The UNITED24 is transparent and effective. We have created a regular reporting process. The sum of donations is daily updated on the website, and a report from ministries is published weekly," Fedorov said on Telegram.
He said earlier that the UNITED24 platform raised $25.8 million over the first week of operation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the launch of the UNITED24 global initiative on May 5: this is a plan of Ukraine's recovery and development to be financed from a special fund accumulating and distributing donations. The UNITED24 fund-raising platform is part of the plan. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal estimated the fund target at $600 billion.
