Gazprom Export not planning to resume gas sales on its e-trading platform this week

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - The electronic trading platform of Gazprom Export LLC, a subsidiary of Gazprom , still does not plan to resume gas sales for the current week from May 23 to 27, according to Gazprom Export's ETP schedule.

The last transaction on the ETP was on October 13, 2021. Trading activity declined and then completely stopped amid the delay in agreeing on the launch of Nord Stream 2, which rendered it impossible to supply additional volumes of gas to Europe.

In 2021, 7.286 billion cubic meters of gas were sold on the ETP, and 27.521 bcm of gas were sold on the ETP in 2020.

The gas market is sensitive to all possible and factually technical details of the presence of Russian gas in Europe, including the results of auctions for booking shipment capacity; the physical flow through pipelines, though it is more often distorted by the action of a virtual reverse; as well as activity on the Gazprom Export ETP.
