Ukraine joins European Migration Network as observer - Interior Ministry

KYIV. May 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has joined the European Migration Network (EMN) as an observer, which would enable it to manage migration flows more efficiently, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry quoted Deputy Minister Meri Akopyan said.

"We are delighted to receive a letter from European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, which endorses Ukraine's observer status in the European Migration Network," Akopyan said at the EU Solidarity with Ukraine international conference.

Cooperation with the EMN would enable the Ukrainian Interior Ministry to manage migration flows more efficiently, she said.
