EU will help rebuild Ukraine - German Chancellor Scholz

BERLIN. May 19 (Interfax) - The European Union will provide financial assistance to fund the restoration of Ukraine after hostilities end in the country, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.

"The restoration of Ukrainian infrastructure will cost billions," Scholz said in the German parliament on Thursday.

The EU will support Ukraine, including by providing it with money from a specialized fund, he said.
