Azerbaijan ready to sign peace agreement with Armenia - Aliyev

BAKU. May 18 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has reaffirmed the readiness of Baku to sign a peace agreement with Armenia.

"Today, we have discussed the situation in the region and the ongoing normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I know that you will visit Armenia following a visit to Azerbaijan. I have no doubt that you will have a full idea [of the situation] after the visit. Our stance is completely open. We want to sign a peace agreement with Armenia. We want to normalize relations and to turn the page of animosity," Aliyev said while meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in Baku on Wednesday.
