Free Google services to remain accessible to Russian users despite bankruptcy plans

MOSCOW. May 18 (Interfax) - Free Google services will remain accessible in Russia despite the intention of its Russian subsidiary to file for bankruptcy, Google Russia told Interfax.

These are the Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, Maps and Google Play services, the company press service said.

The company added that its office was unable to function at the moment.

"The freeze on the Google Russia bank account has made the operation of our Russian office impossible, including jobs and the payroll of the Russian staff, settlements with suppliers and contractors, and fulfillment of other financial liabilities," the press service said.
