Kazakhstan banning sugar exports for six months

ALMATY. May 13 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will ban on exports of white sugar and raw cane sugar for six months from May 23.

The ban applies to white sugar with Eurasian Economic Union unified commodity nomenclature foreign economic activity code 1701 99 100, and raw cane sugar coded 1701 13 and 1701 14, according to an Kazakh Agriculture Ministry order posted on the regulatory legal acts data web portal.

The order will come into effect in ten calendar days from the date of the first official publication.

The order, signed by Agriculture Minister Erbol Karashukeyev, was officially published on May 12, 2022.
