London imposes sanctions on Putin's ex-wife, other people from his entourage

LONDON. May 13 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom has announced sanctions on a number of people whom it sees as belonging to Russian President Vladimir Putin's entourage, among them his former wife Lyudmila Ocheretnaya.

A statement published on Friday by the UK government also lists President Putin's relatives Roman Putin, Igor Putin, and Mikhail Putin among those subject to sanctions.

The list also includes Yuri Shamalov (president of the private pension fund Gazfond), Mikhail Klishin (member of the Sogaz board of directors), Vladimir Kolbin (general director of the Gelendzhik Seaport LLC), Alina Kabaeva (National Media Group chair of the board), and others.
