Wildberries opens three new logistics centers in Russian regions

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Wildberries has opened three new logistics centers in separate Russian regions, the country's largest online retailer said in a statement.

A 5,500-square-meter sorting center has opened in Barnaul, Altai Territory; a 2,400-square-meter sorting center has opened in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic; and a 1,900-square-meter sorting center has opened in Astrakhan.

The company plans to begin accepting supplies and deliveries from local entrepreneurs in the second quarter that should expand the range of locally produced goods and products, as well as support overall business, Wildberries said.

Wildberries earlier this year opened new logistics facilities in seven Russian regions, including the Novosibirsk, Lipetsk, Omsk, and Saratov regions, as well as in the Stavropol Territory, Udmurt Republic, and North Ossetia.
