Pussy Riot member Alyokhina leaves Russia - lawyer

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina has left Russia, Alyokhina's lawyer Daniil Berman told Interfax.

"Alyokhina has left the Russian territory," Berman said.

He said he did not know how Alyokhina managed to leave, considering that she was under constant surveillance by law enforcement officers. According to media outlets, she left home wearing uniform of a Delivery Club courier.

Moscow's Preobrazhensky District Court found Alyokhina guilty of incitement to a breach of sanitary and epidemiological regulations posing a threat of mass infections and imposed yearlong restrictions on her on September 10, 2021.

Alyokhina has been repeatedly detained by the police and has served 90 days of administrative arrest since the beginning of 2022.

In April, Moscow's Presnensky District Court replaced the restrictions on Alyokhina with real jail time at the request from the Federal Penitentiary Service in connection with numerous violations of the restrictions. Alyokhina did not attend the hearing.

The Russian Interior Ministry put Alyokhina on the wanted list at the end of April.
