Kyiv hoping for delivery of U.S. rocket launchers

KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny has told Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley that Kyiv needs U.S. rocket launchers.

"We stay in touch with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley. Traditionally, I have briefed the U.S. colleague on the current situation," Zaluzhny said on Telegram on Thursday.

"The provision of Ukraine with M142 HIMARS and M270 MLRS rocket launchers is highly relevant" amid airstrikes, due to a threat of disruption of logistic chains supplying Western military-technical assistance to Ukraine, Zaluzhny said.
