Ukrainian Finance Ministry ups 2022 sovereign debt repayment forecast by almost UAH 12 bln

KYIV. May 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Ukrainian Finance Ministry has raised the 2022 sovereign debt repayment forecast by UAH 11.84 billion to UAH 584.1 billion, as against the April forecast.

The forecast published on the ministry website in early May says that the largest payment of UAH 168.94 billion was due in April-June 2022, compared to UAH 147.31 billion in July-September and UAH 133,51 billion in October-December.

The ministry has increased the forecast for 2022 domestic debt repayment by UAH 13.97 billion to UAH 454.92 billion, and decreased the foreign debt repayment forecast by UAH 2.14 billion to UAH 129.18 billion.

According to the ministry, the largest monthly payment was performed in February (UAH 75.78 billion) and would be made again in May (UAH 61.79 billion).

At the same time, the ministry increased the sovereign debt repayment forecast for 2023 by UAH 22.53 billion to UAH 423.44 billion.

In 2024, the ministry expects the payments to reach UAH 352.63 billion.
