Azerbaijan's Central Bank retains refinancing rate at 7.75%

BAKU. April 29 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has retained the refinancing rate, or discount rate, at 7.75% per annum, Central Bank Chairman Taleh Kazymov said at a press conference on Friday.

Kazymov said that the Central Bank had retained the lower threshold of the percentage corridor at 6.25% and the upper threshold at 9.25%.

As previously reported, from September 2021 to March 2022, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan decided to hike the refinancing rate during five consecutive meetings, having retained the refinancing rate at 7.75% since March 18.
