Sixty-nine states confirm participation in SPIEF 2022 - St. Petersburg governor

ST. PETERSBURG. April 28 (Interfax) - Delegates from 69 countries have confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said during his report to the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

"Please be informed that 69 countries have confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2022. More applications are being filed. The economic forum will be held," Beglov said.

He did not specify what countries had confirmed their participation in the SPIEF 2022.

Events like the SPIEF, FIFA World Cup, and Scarlet Sails graduation festival will remain points of attraction "despite any sanctions," Beglov said.

As reported earlier, the 25th SPIEF will take place on June 15-18, 2022, and Egypt will be the forum's guest country.
