Putin instructs that quotas on Russian fertilizer exports be extended through Aug 31

MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed that the quota mechanism for exports of fertilizers from Russia be extended through August 31, with the possibility of prolonging these restrictions further on a quarterly basis if needed.

"Ensure the extension until August 31, 2022 of the procedure for applying quantitative restrictions on the export of certain types of fertilizers from Russia to states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, providing for the extension of this procedure (quarterly), if necessary," reads the list of instructions following the meeting on the development of the agricultural and fishery sectors and related industries, published on the Kremlin website.
