Russia registers 7,705 new cases of Covid-19, 163 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,705 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 2,986 hospitalizations and 163 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

"As of April 27, Russia recorded 7,705 new cases of Covid-19, while 2,986 patients have been hospitalized, down 5.54% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 36 constituent territories, has decreased in 44, and has remained unchanged in five, it said.

Another 163 patients died from Covid-19, versus 176 the day before.

Daily morbidity has grown by 598 cases from 7,107 reported on Tuesday.

"Another 11,477 patients have recovered, down 3.55% from April 26," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Russia has registered a total of 18,159,600 cases of Covid-19, including 375,400 deaths and 17,506,859 recoveries.
