Ukrainian economy's direct losses up to $88 bln - head of Zelensky's Office

KYIV. April 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The overall size of direct recorded damage sustained by Ukraine's infrastructure due to the ongoing events has reached almost $88 billion, head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's Office Andriy Yermak said on Telegram.

"The direct losses of the Ukrainian economy increased by $3.1 billion over the past week," Yermak said, putting the total size of losses, both direct and indirect, suffered by the Ukrainian economy at $564 billion to $600 billion.

The damage caused by the continuing hostilities in Ukraine has been calculated thus far using only open source data, he said.
