Moscow declares 3 Swedish diplomats personae non gratae

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - Russia has decided to expel three Swedish diplomats, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Swedish Ambassador to Russia [Malena] Mard on April 26 and a strong protest was expressed against the hostile actions taken by the Swedish authorities against three diplomatic staff members of the Russian embassy in Stockholm, expelled without valid reason, as well as Sweden's military assistance to the Kyiv regime and covering up for the crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists against the civilian population of Donbas and Ukraine," the ministry said.

The ambassador "was informed that, in response to such actions, the Russian side decided to declare three diplomats from the Swedish embassy in Russia personae non gratae," the ministry said.
