Over 2 mln internally displaced persons registered in Ukraine since Feb 24 - ministry

KYIV. April 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) - More than two million internally displaced persons (IDP) have been registered in Ukraine since February 24, the Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy said.

"As of today, the unified database of internally displaced persons contains information about 3.4 million such people," the ministry's press service quoted the minister of social policy as saying.

Of them, more than two million people had to leave their homes following the introduction of martial law in the country, it said.

The majority of these people have relocated to the Lviv, Dnipro, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions, the ministry said.

The largest number of internally displaced persons are registered in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kyiv regions.
