Russia registers 7,651 new cases of Covid-19, 159 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,651 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 1,112 hospitalizations and 159 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

"As of April 25, Russia recorded 7,651 new cases of Covid-19, while 1,112 patients were hospitalized, down 17.75% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 22 Russian regions, has decreased in 56, and has remained unchanged in seven, it said.

Another 159 patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, as against 168 deaths reported on Sunday.

The daily morbidity has declined by 795 cases from 8,446 registered the day before.

"Another 8,855 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, down 15.7% from April 24," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,144,788 cases of Covid-19, including 375,061 deaths and 17,483,483 recoveries.
