Twenty-five Ukrainian MPs set up new group called Platform for Life and Peace
KYIV. April 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Twenty-five Ukrainian parliamentarians who formerly belonged to the Opposition Platform - For Life faction have set up a new parliamentary group called Platform for Life and Peace led by Yuriy Boiko, the group said.
Platform for Life and Peace includes "pro-Ukrainian people's deputies willing to work for protecting Ukraine, helping the people, and rebuilding our country," Boiko said.
He said the group was open to constructive collaboration with other factions and groups.
The Platform for Life and Peace group does not include Viktor Medvedchuk, Vadym Rabinovych, Vadym Stolar, and some other lawmakers supporting them, who formerly belonged to the Opposition Platform - For Life faction, it said.
The Opposition Platform - For Life party formed a faction including 44 members based on the outcomes of the 2019 parliamentary election. The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council ruled on March 19, 2022 to suspend the party's functioning, and the parliamentary faction was dissolved on April 14.
