MSC resumes vessel calls on DeloPorts container terminal in Novorossiysk

MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - DeloPorts' NUTEP Container Terminal in Novorossiysk has handled a Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) vessel for the first time in almost two years, the MSC Lara container ship with capacity of more than 2,600 TEU, Delo Group reported.

"According to a signed long-term contract, MSC container vessels' calls at the NUTEP Container Terminal will be handled on a regular basis, with a frequency of up to three times a week," the group said in a press release.

"We are grateful to our partners from MSC for their return to Novorossiysk. We are extremely glad that in such a difficult time they maintain regular vessel calls at the NUTEP terminal," DeloPorts CEO Igor Yakovenko said in the press release.

DeloPorts is a holding company that owns and operates Delo Group stevedoring assets of Delo Group in the port of Novorossiysk. DeloPorts consolidates NUTEP Container Terminal, KSK Grain Terminal and Delo Service Company. Delo Group is owned by Sergei Shishkarev and state nuclear corporation Rosatom.
