Energy Ministry considering construction of infrastructure in Murmansk, Indiga for oil exports

MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - The Energy Ministry is drawing up plans for development of oil export infrastructure in Murmansk and Indiga, First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said at a meeting of the Council on the Development of the Far East, the Arctic and Antarctic under the auspices of the Federation Council.

"We see a lot of potential for harnessing new locations. Such as the port of Indiga potentially, potentially also the development of Murmansk as an additional transshipment point or even putting oil and potentially gas pipeline infrastructure there. Not only to improve the social and economic situation in the region, but also to create more flexibility in our export system," Sorokin said.
