First 600 mln hryvni transferred in financial aid to internally displaced persons - Ukrainian PM

KYIV. April 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The first 600 million hryvni have been transferred as part of financial assistance to internally displaced persons, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"The first 600 million hryvni have been transferred to pay financial assistance to internally displaced persons. Each adult will receive 2,000 hryvni, while each child or a person with disabilities will receive 3,000 hryvni," Shmyhal said in his address on Monday.

"Apart from these payments from the state, the most affected and unprotected Ukrainians will be able to receive payments from international humanitarian organizations - the UN and INICEF. The government has already adopted a resolution, making it possible to apply for such assistance via the Diia web portal. We are now working on the technical implementation of this decision," he said.
