Russia records 9,434 new cases of Covid-19, 213 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 9,434 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 1,058 hospitalizations and 213 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

"As of April 18, Russia has recorded 9,434 new cases of Covid-19, while 1,058 patients have been hospitalized, down 27.2% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 14 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 61, and has remained unchanged in ten, it said.

Another 213 patients died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, as against 233 the day before.

The daily morbidity was down by 829 cases from 10,263 reported on Sunday.

"Another 14,324 patients recovered from Covid-19 over the day, down 13.2% from April 17," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,084,151 cases of Covid-19, including 373,713 deaths and 17,390,465 recoveries.
