Court in Ukraine seizes 154 assets of Medvedchuk family

KYIV. April 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Lychakivskyi District Court of Lviv has seized 154 pieces of real estate and movable property belonging to Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko on the basis of a respective motion from the National Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General.

"The seized assets include 26 vehicles, 30 plots of land, 23 homes, 32 apartments, 17 parking slots, and a motor yacht. Shares in the charter capital of 25 companies, which have either Viktor Medvedchuk or his wife as their beneficiaries, have also been seized," the National Bureau of Investigation said on social media.

A yacht and certain real estate belonging to Medvedchuk were seized by a court earlier.

A photo of a handcuffed Medvedchuk wearing a military uniform was published on the Telegram channel of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday evening. The photo had a caption which read, "A special operation held thanks to SBU [Ukrainian Security Service]." Zelensky offered Russia to exchange Medvedchuk for Ukrainian citizens held prisoner by Russian forces.
