Total of 1,567 civilians evacuated in Ukraine on April 13 - deputy head of Zelensky's Office

KYIV. April 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) - A total of 1,567 civilians were evacuated in Ukraine on Wednesday, April 13, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said in a statement on Telegram.

"In the Zaporizhzhya region, 1,102 people evacuated from Polohy, Vasylivka, Berdyansk, and Melitopol on their own transport. In the Donetsk region, 83 people were evacuated from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhya. In the Luhansk region, 382 people were evacuated from Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Kreminna, Hirne, and Popasna," Tymoshenko said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said that nine humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians had been approved for Thursday, April 14.

People will be able to evacuate on their own transport to Zaporizhzhya from Mariupol in the Donetsk region and from Berdyansk, Tokmak and Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhya region, Vereshchuk said.

There will also be evacuation corridors from five towns of the Luhansk region, namely Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Popasna, Hirske, and Rubizhne, to Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
