PM Shmyhal hopes Ukraine to get EU candidate country status no later than June 2022

KYIV. April 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is hopeful that Ukraine could receive the European Union candidate country status no later than June 2022.

"We met with the leadership of the European Union in Kyiv. We received the questionnaire that we will have to fill out in order to receive the status of a candidate for membership in the EU. We have begun working on it. We expect that Ukraine will be able to receive this status no later than June of this year," Shmyhal said in an address on Tuesday evening.
