Deputy PM Vereshchuk says no humanitarian corridors approved for Wed, head of Luhansk regional military administration claims 1 corridor still agreed upon
KYIV. April 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) - There will be no humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians on Wednesday, April 13, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said.
"As to humanitarian corridors for April 13, 2022, regretfully, we won't be opening them today," Vereshchuk said on Telegram. "Yet we will be working to reopen humanitarian corridors as soon as possible," she said.
In turn, head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Hayday said "a humanitarian corridor" had been approved for evacuating civilians from cities of the region on April 13.
"A humanitarian corridor has been agreed upon: today residents will be evacuated from Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, the Hornyi community, and Popasna. Routes have been adjusted consistent with the security factor," Hayday said on social media on Wednesday morning.
