Pyotr Bobylev named head of coal industry department at Russian Energy Ministry

MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Former Deputy Energy Minister Pyotr Bobylev has been appointed director of the Russian ministry's coal industry department, the ministry said.

Prior to the appointment, Bobylev resigned from his position as deputy energy minister, to which he was appointed in October 2021 and in which he oversaw the department for foreign economic cooperation and development of fuel markets, and the finance and property relations department.

The director of the department for foreign economic cooperation and development of fuel markets, Sergei Mochalnikov was appointed deputy energy minister last week. He will be responsible for international cooperation and the coal industry. Mochalnikov previously headed the ministry's coal and peat industry department from 2014.
