PSB to soon open branches in Simferopol, Sevastopol

MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Promsvyazbank (PSB) will soon open branches in Simferopol and Sevastopol, the Russian lender told Interfax.

"In accordance with the president's instruction, PSB will soon open offices on the Crimean peninsula in Sevastopol and Simferopol. We have plans to open offices in several other cities by the end of this year. The bank intends to actively expand its presence on the peninsula and is currently studying the most optimal locations, including on the coast and places where one of the key client segments for the bank, the military industrial complex, has a presence," PSB said.

The bank's offices in Crimea will offer retail customers and businesses a full range of services, and the bank will also provide comprehensive financial support for infrastructure and social projects on the peninsula, PSB said.

President Vladimir Putin earlier issued orders, published on the Kremlin's website, for PSB to open branches in Crimea by October 1, 2022.

PSB said last week that it had started serving clients in Crimea, offering residents of the peninsula consumer credit, and enabling businesses to open settlement accounts and access acquiring services. They can use the bank's services remotely, through its call center, website, online bank and mobile app, as well as at PSB branches in Krasnodar Territory.
