Finnish Posti to suspend letter, parcel traffic to Russia, Belarus

ST. PETERSBURG. April 8 (Interfax) - Posti, the Finnish state-run post operator, will suspend letter and parcel traffic to Russia and Belarus starting on April 11, the Posti website reported on Friday.

"The suspension concerns letter and parcel traffic from Finland to Russia and Belarus as well as from Russia and Belarus to Finland. Shipments that cannot be delivered will be returned to the senders," Posti said.

Posti referred to the exceptional circumstances as per the Universal Postal Union agreements and said the traffic would be suspended "until further notice."
