EPAM to end operations in Russia within three months

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - EPAM Systems Inc. has decided to cease operations in Russia due to the military operation in Ukraine and will complete its withdrawal from the country over the next three months, the company said in a statement.

In line with the business continuity plans the company began implementing in February 2022, EPAM said it is accelerating the relocation of its Russian operations. A significant number of employees have already relocated to outside of the country, the company said, adding that it expects more Russian employees to follow.

However, EPAM expects to continue operations in Belarus, and to implement specific plans to ensure business continuity in this country. The company also said that the previously announced acceleration of hiring across multiple locations in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and India will facilitate further expansion of the geographical diversification of EPAM's global network.

EPAM announced on March 4 that it would discontinue services to customers located in Russia due to the developments in Ukraine. However, the company said it was committed to providing transition support for customers in this market.
