Austrian job portal offering over 1,300 vacancies to Ukrainians - project co-founders

KYIV. April 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The jobs-for-ukraine.at portal offering jobs to Ukrainians in Austria, which commenced operation on March 11, 2022, is offering over 1,300 jobs with 650 Austrian companies, communications officer Olena Obukhivska, who is interacting with Ukrainian communities in Austria, said in a statement.

"Austria has demonstrated a substantial and systemic approach to the Ukraine issue: it has adopted a law that gives a detailed description of registration processes, paperwork, insurance and work permits. A job in Austria means a hope, an opportunity, a chance for the Ukrainians present here. By the way, over 70% of Ukrainians have higher education," Obukhivska said.

Austrian companies are opening special vacancies for Ukrainians and post them on the jobs-for-ukraine.at portal, which now has 5,000 visits per day, she said. Austrian companies registered on the company website can directly contact specialists from Ukraine regarding their recruitment for the available vacancies.

The jobs-for-ukraine.at portal is a personal initiative of Austrian IT specialists: Spar-ICS CIO Eric-Jan Kaak, Signa CIO Franz Hillebrand, and Agencylife General Director Alex Kucera.

The companies offering vacancies to Ukrainians and cooperating with #JobForUkraineInAustria include the Austrian Hotelier Association, the Federation of Austrian Industries (Industriellenvereinigung), IAA Austria, Signa IT, Spar-Ics, Swietelsky, Obb, Sony Dadc, Verbund, Oamtc, T-Systems Austria, Wiener Stadtwerke, Palfinger, Porsche Informatik, Kika/Leiner, Bacher Steuerberatung, HR Consulting Alexander Wozak, and some others.
