Ukrainian president orders formalizing termination of commodity turnover with Russia

KYIV. April 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has ordered the government to formalize the termination of the commodity turnover between Ukraine and Russia, according to a report posted on the president's site following his meeting with the government on the fulfilment of the state budget on Wednesday.

Import and export operations with Russia de facto fully stopped after February 24, the release said.

According to data from the Ukrainian State Customs Service, the commodity turnover between the countries last year went up 38.7%, from $7.28 billion to $10.09 billion.

The import increased by 45.9%, from $4.56 billion to $6.65 billion, whereas the export went up 26.5%, from $2.71 billion to $3.44 billion.
